傲客嵐這週末來個藝術博覽, 週五晚上的開幕門票要一百二, 有錢人就愛灑錢, 當然很多藝術創作者也因此受惠..

 

我走後門, 也進去晃了一圈. 大學時期的兩位繪畫老師也是資金雄厚, 幾年前開了高檔畫廊, 加上兩位的名聲, 當然硬是出現在會場中, 還是坐板凳賣畫, 這是唯一的犧牲, 想要做自己的事, 就要面對一大堆的關係, 規劃, 曝光, 撈錢, 繼續創作... 我這麼說完全是出自於內心的欽佩, 雖說有所謂的幸運存在, 有對的關係一切好辦, 但沒有創作的資本還是立不住腳.. 成績不錯, 她們賣了一些, 旗下全是以繪畫為主的藝術家, 跟別的攤位的相較之下, 勢力單薄了些.. 噓寒問暖兩三句, 總之就是說在吚冷繪畫很難生存, 對阿, 我也這麼覺得, 不過對於初產率不高的我而言, 這不是問題... 我需要的是動力與熱誠..

 

也因為這一行, 我又聽了不少內幕八卦.. 藝術圈就是這麼口愛, 這麼愛愛...

 

很俱鳥稀爛的水準: 18.50NZD的入場費不過是35個攤販, 除了入口的巧克力和展覽冊, 沒什麼東西可以污.. 場地其實有點偏遠, 標示不清楚, 也沒有專車, 傲客嵐的交通爛透了, 天氣好是可以走路, 有誰要穿高跟鞋上坡下坡? 很明顯的, 這是刻意拉開藝術與大眾間的距離, 而大部分的學生也因門票太貴而卻步. 飛餅也說了, 這樣的價錢在歐洲的展場是一天逛不完的, 一棟連著一棟的展場, 人更是擠到爆..

 

但還是感謝立恩給我這次前所未有的體驗!

Before I start, there is this rant on art school i have to let go of.. some artists steal! hell they do! some uncivilised graduate students just do not have a sense of morality while pursuing higher knowledge in critical thinking or whatever that goes on at school that makes them a figure in the cultural industry. And if I was talking about stealing ideas or concepts i would be narrow-minded since everyone influences one another.. what is more sinister than stealing materials or tools in this working environment?? Is there any theory out there that can explain such ignorance of possessions of others? and in such a way that even justifies stealing as borrowing without telling and possibly returning before being caught... Some people's brains are as big as their balls (note: this is not a compliment on their balls) so that they choose to ignore the HUANG written on my stuff, yet one may argue that it is my brain that is as big as my tits (o thanks) for leaving my belongings in a common space. perhaps i am just a naive country gal from christchurch thinking no matter how poor and desperate art students may be, they still respect your pens and rulers that are left on your desk!

 

and the hunt for digicam started pretty shit too. there is this whole kiwi-attitude thing that pisses me off again and again. Kiwi? is there such category to identify people living in auckland as a whole? well, if i have to be addressed as asian all the time, why can't i make them kiwis, be whatever ethnic group they belong to. shopping is never a pleasant experience here. all the time you get shop assistants who don't give a damn and do not assist you in any way, and i feel that i would have to request my demand again and again.
"is there a battery that you can put in so we would be able to see how it functions and the clearity of the lcd screen?"
"o you would have to recharge the battery first.." (what? me? implying that unless i agree to buy the product i would not be able to test it at all? what's the difference then than playing with a plastic fake of the camera?)
"can you just note down the prices for these 2 models?"
"depends on when you are buying it, the price changes all the time.. surly you can write the price down if you like..."
(what the fuck, are you telling me "fuck you i don't want to do it"?)
"well, but still. i would like YOU to write down the prices on a piece of paper..."

 

at the end we bought nikon s8 in camera&camera on queen st. the only shop whose assistants' facial muscles are not numb as to behave like living zombies (and as if i smelt like garlic)... Though i got pissed off in this same shop some months ago, their sale technique was however slightly better than a few others. Plus a free 1G SD memory card, so that was okay.

 

good to have a camera at last!
